Research Notes
-
The Owen Pedigrees in the Visitation of Shropshire[12][13] claimed that Humphrey Baskerville, Alderman of London, the husband of Jane Pakington, was the son of James Baskerville and Elizabeth, daughter of John Braynton of Stretton, Herefordshire. This is clearly not the case. James Baskerville and Elizabeth Breynton did have a son Humphrey but he married Elynor, daughter and heir of John Aguilliam of Lambedre, and he was still living after Humphrey the Alderman was deceased.
