Biography
Sir Walter Devereux was the son of Sir Walter Devereux, knight[1] and Elizabeth Bromwich.[2] He was born at Bodhenham, Herefordshire, England about 1411[3] .[2]
Sir Walter Devereux of Bodenham and Weobley, Herefordshire, Branston, Cotesbach and Newbold Verdon, Leicestershire, and Market Rasen, Lincolnshire; Chancellor of Ireland 1449, granted land in Drogheda 1459, was Yorkist in Wars of the Roses.[3]
Sir Walter married Elizabeth Merbury about 1432 and had children as follows:
