Biography
James Baskerville, possibly a son of Sir Walter Baskerville by his second wife
Not Sir James Baskerville, who was the eldest son of Sir Walter Baskerville by his first wife.
The only evidence for James Baskerville are the Baskerville Pedigrees by Burke[1] and the Rev. Watkins.[2] They stated that Sir Walter had three sons and a daughter by his first marriage, namely: James, John, Thomas and Elizabeth: and five sons by his second marriage, namely; Philip, Edward, William, James and Simon.
No other source has yet been found to corroborate a James Baskerville as a son of Sir Walter Baskerville by his second wife.
A will for Sir Walter Baskerville has not been identified.
