It is presumed she survived her husband. The PCC copy of the will of her husband Milo ap Harry Esq. indicates the will was dated 10 Feb 1488 and proved 21 Nov 1488.[9] NB given the dates do not make sense it is unclear if the dates should read dated 10 Feb 1487/1488 and proved 21 Nov 1488, or dated 10 Feb 1488/1489 and proved 21 Nov 1489. His will referred to his wife Johanna, and his sons Henry, John, Robert, Richard and Walter. The Executors were his wife Johanna and son Henry. His Supervisor was Walter Baskerville.
Window
-
"There still exists a beautiful ancient glass window in the East end [of the church at Atcham] to the memory of Miles ap Harry, an ancestor of Blanche Parry, which likewise was removed from Bacton Church."[13]
-
"The shields of arms give the clue to the kneeling family groups at the bottom of the window, and show that they represent Miles Ap-harry or Parry of Newcourt in Bacton, and his wife Joan, daughter of Sir Henry Stradling of St. Donat's Castle near Cardiff, with their children. We should never learn from the Visitation that they had so large a family as the 12 sons and 7 daughters depicted in the glass. Indeed his will, which we possess, mentions only five sons, so that the others in the glass may be grandsons, unless they died before their father. The daughters are not mentioned individually in the will, but he bequeaths all his debts and silver plate for the marriage of my daughters according to [the wishes] of my wife Joan and my son Henry".[14]
