Biography
John Baskerville was the second son of Sir James Baskerville and Sybil Devereux.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
His year of birth is unknown. Based on his elder brother Walter having been born c 1458 then it is presumed John was born c 1460.
John Baskerville was recorded in the Inquisition Post Mortem for his father, James Baskerville, knight, in 1499.[7]

He married Alice, daughter and heiress of John Bridges of Hereford.[2][3][4][6]
Children
Henry Baskerville[1][2][3][6]
[uncertain] Sibyl Baskerville[6]
Henry Baskerville married Anne, daughter of Colin Rufford of Gloucestershire. Their children were Sir Thomas Baskerville Kt, Captain Michael Baskerville, John and Arnold, the latter two sons dying without issue. Sir Thomas Baskerville Kt of Goodrest, Warwickshire, general of the English army in Picardy, married Mary, daughter of Sir Thomas Throgmorton of Troitworth, and dying in 1597, left a son and heir Hannibal Baskerville lord of the manor of Sunningwell, Berkshire who married his first cousin Mary, daughter of Captain Michael Baskerville and relict of John Morgan esq. by whom he had sixteen sons and two daughters. Captain Michael Baskerville, an officer in the low countries, married Constance, daughter of George Huntley esq., and left a daughter Mary who married her cousin Hannibal Baskerville esq.[3]
Norr[6] placed a Sibyl Baskerville who married Richard Rowdon, as a daughter of this John Baskerville.

His date of death is unknown.
He was living c 1515. It is presumed he was the John Baskerville Esq of Hereford who was recorded in a suit 1515-1518 and hence was still living at that time.[8]
