His wife was Janet Russell, who he married in NOV 1839 in New Monkland, Scotland. Their only known child was Grace (c1841-?).

Married Janet Russell in Nov. 1839 in New Monkland. Left one daughter, Grace who was with her grandparents during the 1851 census. I don't know what happened to Janet.
