His wife was Marie Josephine Kennedy, who he married on 12 JUN 1918 in St.. Mary's, Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois. Their five known children were Kathryn Marie (1919-1990), Elizabeth Phyllis (1921-?), Bernard John (1929-2017), Dorothy Jane (1931-1932) and Patricia Anne (1934-1988).
