!Note: Edward is thought to be the father of the correct Cornelius who ended up in Airth simply because there are so few people with the name Cornelius Hotchkiss recorded anywhere. The next possibility would be 30 years older. Also, five of Edward's other children have the same names as other early Scotish Hotchkiss family members contemporary with Cornelius, and would appear to be either namesakes or the same people. This as well as the Location in Madeley, which is also the only location from which comes an Emmanuel Hotchkiss, who is also recorded in Airth, seems more than a coincidence. Shropeshire was also a coal mining location, and a relationship may be found here as well.
