The 1850 Lincoln NC census lists 2 Warner Howards--one married to Esther and one married to Tabitha. The Warners are close in age. Warner, the son of William and Sally Howard is my 3rd greatgrandfather and the 1850 census household of Warner and Esther matches my family. I have assumed that the Warner associated with Tabitha might be a cousin, but I have not found a connection.
Note: I’m going to assume that neither of these are our Waner
