Arthur was born about 1585 in England, the son of Richard Hotchkiss and Frances Burrows.

He died about 1644. The place is not known.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Margery. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their thirteen known children were Elizabeth (c1604-?), Arthur (c1606-?), Katherine (c1608-?), Margaret (c1609-c1610), Hotchkiss (c1609-c1609), Jararde (c1610-?), Cotton (c1612-c1612), Ales (c1614-?), John (c1616-?), Magdalen (c1618-?), Anne (c1619-?), Ellin (c1622-?) and Hotchkiss (c1625-c1625).

His second wife was Elizabeth Michelon, who he married in 1642 in London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, England. They had no known children.

20 acres land, 4 acres meadow, 10 acres pasture, 2 acres wood, and common of pasture in Whicksall and Cotten;
