He had four marriages/partners. His first wife was Juliana Haneley, who he married on 20 AUG 1558 in Burrington, Ludlow, Herifordshire, England. Their three known children were Elenor (c1558-c1558), Joan (c1558-?) and Margaret (c1559-?).
His second wife was Annes Roper, who he married on 13 JUL 1575 in Morville, Shropshire, England. They had no known children.
His third wife was Margreta Harley, who he married on 22 JUN 1577 in Morville, Shropshire, England. Their only known child was Frances (c1579-?).
His fourth wife was Jone Hildropp, who he married on 14 JAN 1560 in Bosham, Sussex, England. Their seven known children were Jana (c1560-?), Richard (c1562-<1571), Agnes (c1563-?), Gyles (c1565-c1614), Margaret (c1566-c1567), Daniell (c1569-?) and Richard (c1571-?).

Consideration: a marriage to be had before the feast of the purification next between John Bright and Anne Acton younger daughter of John Acton
John Acton covenants for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators that before the marriage, at Bright's expense, he will make to Edwarde Plowden, Thomas Mynde, Humffrey Eiton and Richard Jones gentleman a good and indefeasible estate in a moiety of a messuages and appurtenances in the townships of Acton, Lidburie North, Brocton and Eiton, that is to say a moiety of a tenement in Acton in the parish of Lidburie North and Anne his wife) and also the moiety of another tenement in Eiton within the parish of Lidburie North , a moiety of all lands, buildings etc and of rents payable to John Acton and his heirs out of the property, quit a rent of yearly out of a tenement and lands in Acton , quit rent of 3.5d out of lands in Brocton
to use of John Acton for his life, after and after the marriage to use of John Bright and Anne Acton and heirs of their bodies in default of issue, to use of the heirs of the body of Anne, in default the right heirs of John Acton
Covenant as to his title in fee simple and to save the moiety from incumbrances except chief rent and one lease made to Anne now wife of Hughe Davies of the tenement in Acton for term of 21 years. Covenant for further assurance after the marriage at Bright's expense. After the determination of the lease to Anne Davies, John Bright and his wife may enjoy the moiety of that tenement during the life of John Acton paying 13s 4d rent.
