Marguerite Lucile Wasson, age 87, of Aurora, Colorado entered into rest on Friday, March 22, 2024.

A memorial service for Marguerite will be held on Friday, April 19th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Howe Mortuary & Crematory located at 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado. A reception will follow.

Marguerite Lucile Wasson was born on June 20, 1936 in a house in Reading, KS. Born to Preston Hyde and Adeline Woolery.

She graduated from Herington High School in 1954, in Herrington, Kansas.

After graduation she married the first time and moved to Germany, where her husband was in the military. After that commitment, they moved back to the states. Living in Oklahoma and Texas. In 1964 she divorced and moved to Longmont, CO.

Marguerite worked at Amphenol in Longmont, until 1979. In 1975 she met William Wasson, and they married June 2, 1976. They moved to Ohio in 1979. They owned and operated a Sears store until retiring in 1992.

Marguerite was a Christian woman. She loved Christmas, and giving beautifully wrapped presents to everyone.

She is survived by her loving husband William Wasson of Aurora, CO. Her daughter Leslie Murphey Walla of Grandview, TX. Her sons, Kelly Murphey of Wichita Falls, TX, and Kyle Murphey of Longmont, CO. Her step-sons, Mike Wasson of Longmont, CO and Steve Wasson of Grand Lake, CO. Her brother, Keith Hyde of Longmont, CO. She is further survived by her thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, her step-son Mark Wasson and her sister Claire Hyde Runft.
