!Notes: Born in Scotland, Janet came to the U.S.A. with her family in 1911. She lived and worked in California for a number of years. When her mother became ill in 1937, Janet returned to Burlingame and stayed with her until she died in 1952. She remained in Burlingame for the remainder of her own life, until 1971.
