James was born about 1920 in Scotland, the son of Cornelius Ferguson Wilson and Polly Ferguson.
His wife is not known, but they were married in ABT 1942. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Cornelius (Private) (1943-?), Islay (Private) (1945-?), Fiona (Private) (1947-?), Ian (Private) (1949-?) and James (Private) (1951-?).
