His second wife was Jane Hopkynson, who he married on 17 JAN 1585 in Shawbury, Shropshire, England. Their ten known children were William (c1586-c1588), Rose (c1589-?), Thomas (c1590-c1625), Richard (c1592-c1593), Richard (c1594-c1643), Sara (c1595-c1595), Elizabeth (c1597-c1599), Lawrence (c1597-c1597), Francis (c1601-?) and Lawrence (c1602-?).

Note: Not only does this look like a common, though hard to find, mis-scribe of Hotchkiss, but the location in Drayton in Hales, Shropshire, England is only 4.7 miles from the christeneing of his brother Robert in Market Drayton. This record also shows both his parents. Also, although a name similar to Hatchett does eventually become more common this decade and location is the first occurance in Shropshire.
