Chad's, Shrewsbury in Shoplach [now or late Marten Brickdale of his subtenants]; 2 gardens in Shrewsbury in Clerimond near the wall of Shrewsbury [now George Owen and Richard Taylour or thier subtenants]; 1 other garden in Shrewsbury in a street called Cleremond [Elizabeth Powell, widow]; 1 other messuage and 1 garden in Shrewsbury in Cleremond [John Morris]; another messuage or garden in Cleremond [>>> William Hodgkis <<<]; one other messuage and garden and a waste piece of land in Cleremond [now Geo Phillips] extending from the next said tenement to land of John Webbe, gent.;and all that annual rent of 6/8 issuing from all these messuages and gardens and orchards now the inheritance of Michael Lister,gent, in Shoplach extending in length from Ramulsham on the E. to land of George Church, corvisor in Shoplach on the W., to be paid annually on the feast of St..Michael and the Annunciation. Thomas Hoord sells the said tenements, gardens and rents, inter alia, to Edward Owen,gent, by the indented writing before making these writings and recognises the said tenements and gardens and rents to be the right of John Brayne and Humfrey Leaton. So this mortgage was made that the heirs of Thomas Hoord should not say in "Barra finis" that Thomas Hoord nor Edward Owen had nothing in the premises at the time of the recognisance.
Witnesses: Richard Owen, per William Spurstowe, Jhon Morries his mark.
Memo the sum of 1d was delivered to John Brayne 7 March 34 Elizabeth [1591/2] according to the tenor of this writing by Edw. Owen and thence Brayne delivered possession to Edwl Owen in the house of Brayne.
