His wife was Nancy Gammon, who he married on 4 MAY 1809. The place has not been found. Their eight known children were Leonard C. (1810-1842), Lewis (1812-1845), Clement (1814-1870), Mark (1816-1843), Edmund (1818-1884), Samuel (1820-1849), Louisa (1823-1844) and Mary (1826-1848).
