!P: Lars Richard Johnson was born February 2, 1883, in Sweden, and passed away December 24, 1961, in the Peterson Rest Home in Osage City. He was 78 years of age at death.

!P: Mr. Johnson was a retired farmer and had lived in the Osage City community for many years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Grace Lutheran church.

!P: Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Catherine Anderson of Kansas City, and a brother, Carl Johnson of Topeka.

!P: Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, in the Grace Lutheran church with Rev. Carl Gustafson officiating.

!P: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lundgren sang the selections, "Abide With Me" and "Safe In the Arms of Jesus" and were accompanied by Mrs. Don Lofgren.

!P: Casket bearers were: Adolph Johnson, Carl Lindburg, Clarence Lindurg, Alton Lindburg, Raymond Lindburg, and Lawrence Johnson.

!P: Lars Richard Johnson, son of Johann and Lotta Larson, was born February 2, 1883, in Quanum, Vastergotland, Sweden, and departed this life at an Osage City rest home on December 24, 1961.

!P: At an early age he was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran church in Sweden. He emigrated to America in 1902 and with the exception of a few years spent in Blandenville, Illinois, he made his home near Osage City.

!P: On October 31, 1917, he was united in marriage to Hilda Johnson, who preceded him in death on June 13, 1959.

!P: He was a faithful member of the Grace Lutheran church and was interested and active in the affairs of his community as long as his health permitted.

!P: He leaves to morn his departure a sister, Mrs. Catherine Anderson of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Carl Johnson, of Topeka, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

!P: Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, December 27, at Grace Lutheran church, with the Reverend Carl Gustafson officiating.

!P: Relatives here from out-of-town were Mr. Ralph Johnson, Blandensville, Illinois; Mrs. Catherine Anderson, Clifton Anderson and Mrs. Hughie Strup of Kansas City, Mo., Carl Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard McGinnis of Topeka.
