I found your site searching for Hinmans, but did not see your Hotchkiss link to Hinman. I did find you are also descended from a Gorman in Ohio born bef 1830. My GG Grandfather John Gorman was born about the same time (1825) and came from a large family of Gormans in Lucerne Co, PA I believe his father was a William Gorman whose line came from a Gorman who came to Connecticut around 1747. William's father was Edward and his grandfather was also William as far back as I have it and supposedly the first Gorman in America. John and his family went to Wisconsin, who knows what family strayed off going west.
