!Obituary: Mineral Point - Otto J. REger, age 86 , of Mineral Point passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday, March 8, 1992, after a short illness. He was born on March 16, 1905, the son of Peter and Elizabeth [Kemmerling] Reger. He was a graduate of Mineral Point High School and later married the former Lucille McMahon on January 2, 1929. He farmed in his early years, and later worked at the lumber yard in Mineral Point until he retired. He was a formerly an alderman and a volunteer fireman for the city of Mineral Point. He was also a member of St.. Mary's Catholic Church and the Mineral Point Senior Center. He is survived by his wife; five daughters, Margaret [William] Hoflus of Snellville, Georgeia, Arleen Heer of Fennimore, Louuise E. Hamlin and Mary [Sam Jr.] Mardi, both of Mineral Point, and Joyce [Gary] Rundle of Dodgeville; eight sons, Bernard [Ann] of Glendale, AZ, James [Mary], Glen [Peggy], and Robert, all of Mineral Point, Tom [Sandy] of Appleton, Richard of Westminister, CO, Vic [Barb] of Cooksville, Maryland, and Dan of Prairie du Chien; thirty-two grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; two sisters; a son-in-law, Dr. W.D. Hamlin, a granddaughter, Becky Lynn Hamlin; and a greatpgrandson, Brett Reger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:oo a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 1992 at St.. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Father Archie Adams will officiate. Internment will be in St.. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday , and from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Gorgen Funeral home in Mineral Point. A scripture service will beheld at 6:30 p.m. and a parish rosary at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
