His wife was Hannah Rush, who he married in FEB 1865 in County Cork, Ireland. Their six known children were Thomas (1867-?), Martha A (1868-1931), Gertrude (c1871-?), Kathryn Jane (1871-1940), John (1872-?) and Charles (1877-?).
