!P: The car traveled out of control about 175 feet from the point where it left the road after coming over a small hill, Rush said. He theorized Johnson was thrown out while the car was rolling. The five passengers were still inside when the car came to rest on its wheels.

!P: Besides his parents and brother, survivors include two other brothers, David Johnson, Emporia, and Roger Johnson, Topeka; grandparents, Mr. and MRs. Eldon Johnson, Sr., Osage City, and Mrs. Blanche Duff, Topeka; and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Vic Johnson, Osage City.
