Note: The entry reads “Thomas his brother, Richard HOGEKYNSON, and others”, which suggests that Thomas and Richard Hodgkinson were brothers and present in or near Staffordshire at about this time. Ailcy and similar names are very rare. There was a Richard Elsy married in Surrey in 1540, and a William Alsy who died about 1535, but pretty much nothing else. Thus the title is rather hard to interpret, leaving the relationship between the Ailcy parties and the Hodgkinsons unclear without examining the original bill.
