Mariages 1538.

Jan 16 Robert Hawkson widower & Margaret Deane Single woman.

Note: The secretary hand tail of the H comes up from below the line past the normal letter spacing and the scribe tries to make the “a” without lifting the quill anyway. The result looses the bottom of the a entirely, but the top of the letter isn’t pointed like an i, but then the right side of the a is over-written as he tries to squeeze the w in too close to the a, causing it to appear to be missing it’s left side as well, which helps with the false read of the w as an n, which for those of you no longer learning cursive is meant to have two humps.
