Note 1
!Note: Dual 1539 Muster Appearances – Wroughton & Castle Combe
Richard appears twice in the 1539 North Wiltshire Musters: listed in Wroughton [his place of residence] providing bills [polearms], and separately as a byllman, tything for Castle Combe. This likely reflects landholdings or lingering feudal obligations tied to Castle Combe, possibly linked to ancestral Baskerville estates.
Richard Hotchkiss 1510 - Jul 1586 marriages:

2. Yedith 1520-abt nov 1542 marr. May 1540.
3. Julyan abt 1514-?, marr. oct 1540
4. Elizabeth abt 1520-1542, marr. abt May 1541. Children: Margaret bap 30 mar 1541/2
5. Jane Putt abt 1520-? marr. 5 Jun 1542.
-- Children mother not named: John nov 1542, Edith 1550, Robert 1552, John 1555, Johane 1559, Oliver 1560
Richard's geographic shifts and rapid remarriages — especially during 1540–1542 — suggest he was actively seeking wives further afield in response to repeated early losses.
