Sylvanus was born in 1600 in England, the son of Thomas Gilpin and Dorothy Elizabeth Burgess Gibson.
He died on 19 NOV 1679 in Maryland.
His wife is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Margaret (1635-1679).
