His wife was Mary Roberts, who he married on 8 JUL 1753 in Madeley, Telford, Shropshire, England. Their eight known children were William (c1756-?), Sarah (c1759-1760), Jane (c1761-1761), Thomas (c1767-?), Hannah (c1769-?), Esther (c1771-?), John (c1774-1775) and William (c1776-?).
