Went in for surgery yesterday evening about 9:00 p.m. and they had to take her colon but could not do nothing with the mass it is all over her organs about 2 months ago they saw something but thought it would go away but guess that was the mass starting. It will just keep growing as far as we know. Just got off the phone with Tanya and the doctor has not been in this morning yet. Please pray for her. Love Cindy _____________________________________ From: "Robert & Cindy Goynes" Date: Tue, 29 Jun 2004 18:38:50 -0500 Subject: mom Just for all of you that write me at times. I will be gone for awhile. My mom is really sick now. As most you might know that she has had cancer for about 6 years now. Last Friday they opened her up and there is nothing else that can be done. I was told by my sister I should get up there as something could happen but you really don't know when as it is in God's hands. So if I don't reply to you right now I will get back to you when I return. For the relatives her hospital number is,..., when she does maybe get home. [Who knows but GOD] Please pray for all of us as we deal with this. Thanks Cindy _____________________________________ As Cindy said, the operation didn't go well. There is a orange sized tumer between her uterus and backbone, which they couldn't get. They did a remove good portion from her along with much of her intestines [a colostumy]. Doris went into a hospice in Topeka on Thursday. Her husband, Marvin said the place is beautiful. It has 18 beds, with 3 nurses and 2 assistants at all times, and they concentrate on trying to make the patient comfortable for their last days. She is at least coherent at times, and is able to say goodbye to her loved ones. The doctors don't expect her to last long. Please pray for her and her family. -Rex
