Nathaniel was born about 1750 in Norton, Massachusetts, the son of Abijah Finney and Lydia Jones.
He had three marriages/partners. His first wife was Abigail Gary, who he married on 16 JUN 1774. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Abijah (1780-1817).
His second wife was Parience Earl, who he married on 30 AUG 1787 in Rockingham, Vermont. Their four known children were Lydia (c1788-?), Earl (c1790-?), Levisia (1794-1849) and Lyman (c1796-?).
His third wife was Cynthia Humphrey, who he married on 16 JAN 1803. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Sylvia (1803-?) and Romanta (1815-?).
