David was born on 24 AUG 1732 in Swansea, Massachusetts, the son of John Finney and Ann Toogood.
His wife was Abigail Clark, who he married on 26 FEB 1759. The place has not been found. Their five known children were David (1761-1842), Abigail (1763-?), Jirah (1765-1811), Lucretia (1767-?) and Isaac (1769-?).
