!P: Mrs. Lorena Roush, 87, Wetmore, died Thursday, February 12, at a Holton nursing home.

!P: Mrs. Roush had been a cook at the Wetmore school 14 years.

!P: She was born February 19, 1899, at Netawaka, a daughter of Edwin and Martha Parman Smith. She spent most of her life in the Wetmore community.

!P: Mrs. Roush was a member of the Methodist Church at Wetmore.

!P: She was married to Harrold Roush April 5, 1924, at Natawaka. He survives. Two daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Mary Jo Mayer died December 20, 1978, and Mrs. Patricia Mayer died December 9, 1978.

!P: Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Crawford, Topeka, and Mrs. Wanda Lindburg, Osage City; three sons, Donald Roush, Corsicana, Texas, Marvin Roush, Topeka, and Loren Roush, Lawrence; a sister, Mrs. Wilma Barge, Topeka; two brothers, Ronald Smith, Portland, Ore., and Gene Smith, New Boston, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

!P: Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the United Methodist Church in Wetmore. Burial was in Wetmore Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Wetmore and sent in care of First National Bank, Wetmore, 66550. --
