!P: Ann L. Anderson, 88, Osage City, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1987, at an Osage City nursing home.

!P: Miss Anderson taught or was principle in Osage area schools 48 years. She was principal of Osage City Elementary School and Junior High schools 29 years.

!P: She was born Feb. 2, 1899, at Osage City, the daughter of Evan and Augusta Carlson Anderson, and spent her life in the Osage City community. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from Emporia State Teachers College.

!P: Miss Anderson was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ruth Chapter No. 52 of Order of Eastern Star and the Marshall Club, all at Osage City. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma teachers' sorority and was the first president of Alpha Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.

!P: Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lucille Settle, Seattle, Wash.; and two brothers, Harold Anderson and Arthur Anderson, both of Osage City.

!P: Survices will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Osage City. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Osage City. Miss Anderson will lie in state from 2 until 7:30 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. until noon Thursday at Grable Funeral Chapel in Osage City. She also will lie in state an hour before service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Osage City. --
