Burkett, 72, Topeka. She died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at a Topeka hospital. - She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Cereal, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Alva H. and Vena Cronin Trueblood. She lived most of her life in Topeka. - Mrs. Burkett was a member of Seaman Congregational United Church of Christ and Auxiliary 2 of Topeka North Post No. 400 of the American Legion. - She married Richard E. Burkett on Aug 28, 1946, in Topeka. He died Nov. 25, 2000. Mrs. Burkett also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Burkett. - Survivors include two daughters, Linda Lowe, Topeka, and Carolyn Wilt, Rossville; two sons, Richard Burkett and Craig Burkett, both of Topeka; a sister, Tillie Myers, Topeka; two brothers, Charles Trueblood and Ralph Burgess, both of Topeka; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. - Burial will be in Valencia Cemetery. - Memorial contributions may be made to Seaman Congregational United Church of Christ, 2036 N.W. Taylor, Topeka, 66600. - Parker-Price Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
