His second wife was Margaret Drylie, who he married on 29 DEC 1850. The place has not been found. Their four known children were John (c1854-?), David Drylie (1860-?), Thomas (1862-?) and Cowan (1864-1864).

His third wife was Magdalena Crawford. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. They had no known children.
