!P: OSAGE CITY - Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City for Alice C. Smith, 87, Osage City, who died Sat., July 31, 1993, at an Osage City nursing home.

!P: She was born Feb. 2, 1906, in Osage City, the daughter of Fernan and Emma Rouviere Didier. She was graduated from Osage City High School.

!P: She was a member of St.. Patrick's Catholic Church in Osage City.

!P: She was married to Paul R. Smith in 1927. He died in 1968. A son, Harold Smith, died in 1991.

!P: Survivors include a son, Paul R. Smith Jr., Topeka; two sisters, Martha Colstrom, Osage City, and June Didier, Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

!P: Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation in care of the funeral home.

!P: Burial was in Osage City Cemetery. --

!P: We would like to thank each and everyone for cards, flowers, gifts and prayers for our sister Alice Smith, while a patient in the hospital. Also for visits the day she was admitted to Peterson's. Thanks for food, flowers, cards and memorials after her death. A special thanks to Pastor John Ashcraft, Crable Funeral Home, Karen Olson, pallbearers and to Anita and Melvin Bolin, who opened their home to family and friends for dinner after the funeral.
