He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Lora Norton, who he married on 27 SEP 1872 in Charlestown, New Hampshire. Their five known children were Norman E. (1873-1925), Byron E. (1876-?), Myrtie A. (1877-?), Homer L. (1885-?) and Harold M. (1890-1891).

His second wife was Alice LFlanders, who he married on 10 SEP 1890. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
