Margaret was born about 1867 in Stirlingshire, the daughter of unknown parents.
Her husband was Walter Jaap, who she married in 1890. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Janet (1892-1954), Jean Armour (1894-1969), George (1896-1918), Mary (1899-1981) and James (1904-1976).
