!Note: Obituary shows a conflicting birth date of 19 Sep 1860. He was a witness at the wedding of Cornelius Hotchkiss & Christina Ferguson at Bothkennar Parish in Scotland, 31 Dec 1878. Came to US in 1880, first to Pennsylvania, then 3 months later, to Osage City, Kansas. Two years later, when he was 22, he moved to Burlingame, Osage County, Kansas. In 1893 with his wife and Cornelius and Christine Hotchkiss, he moved to Trenton, Missouri where they mined coal. William lived for a few hours after being hit by a railroad train on his way home in Trenton, Missouri. He was 35 years old. After this, his wife Jeannie with Cornelius and Christine Hotchkiss, and all of their children returned to Burlingame, where they spent the remainder of their lives.
