!P: Oliver Henry Bolyard, youngest son of Oliver and Jennie Mallott Bolyard, was born April 2, 1916 at Osage City, and passed away July 23, 1964 at a Topeka hospital at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 21 days.
!P: On March 11, 1942, he was married to Hazel Johnson. To this union were born three children, Paul Dean, who died in infancy, Joan Ellen and Connie Mack, both of the home.
!P: He is survived by his wife and two children; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Bolyard; two brothers, William of Osage City and Loren of Wichita; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
!P: "Pete," as he was called, spent all his life in the vicinity of Osage City. He was engaged in farming, and for the past 5 years has driven a school bus for the Osage City Public Schools. He was a longtime member of Jersey Creek Grange, and a past member of the Knights of Pythias.
!P: He was a kind and thoughtful husband and father, and a good neighbor who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
!P: Funeral services for Mr. Bolyard were held Saturday, July 25, in the First Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Davis officiating.
!P: Mrs. Charles McSpadden accompanied soloist, Ellis Swarts, as he sang "Near To the Heart of God" and "I've Done My Work." Casket bearers were Earl Ryberg, Robert Hollar, Bert Davenport, Lawrence Cellar, George Hallowell, and Clarence Hendrickson.
