In the untimely death of Mrs. Zona M. Hotchkiss early Tuesday morning a family is bereft of a faithful wife and loving mother and a wide circle of relatives and friends feel a personal loss.

Mrs. Hotchkiss death came unexpectedly following an operation at Stormont hospital on Wednesday of last week. A diabetic condition contributed to her death.

Zona McLeod, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McLeod of Osage City, was born at Osage City December 7, 1908 and passed away on her thirty-fifth birthday.

Her marriage to Neal S. Hotchkiss took place on July 3, 1927. Surviving members of her family include the husband; a daughter, Twila Jean, junior in high school; two sons, Darrel Wayne and James Allen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James McLeod of Osage City; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Shafer of Kansas City, Mo.; and five brothers, John of Mulvane, Kansas; Donald of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and Robert, James and William serving in the military forces over seas.

A son, Warren Neal, died a few years ago at the age of eight years.

Mrs. Hotchkiss was a woman with many charming qualities. Friendly and helpful, she was well liked by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Burlingame Presbyterian church. Rev. John M. Kellison, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Osage City officiating. Burial will be made in the Osage City cemetery. --
