Mary was born about 1675, the daughter of Vincent Owen but her mother is unknown. The place is not known.
Her husband was Thomas Hotchkiss, who she married in 1703 in Munslow, Shropshire, England. Their eight known children were Elizabeth (c1704-?), Vincent (c1705-?), Mary (c1708-?), Chatherine (c1710-?), Elizabeth (c1710-?), Jane (c1712-?), Beatrix (c1715-?) and Anne (c1718-?).

William, the third son, was of Dittori Priors; his son Thomas was Rector of Munslow, and married there [1703] Mary, daughter of Vincent Owen, his predecessor, by whom he had a son, Vincent, and several daughters. Thomas Hotchkis was buried at Munslow 1748-9, and "William Hotchkis, gent." [perhaps his father] was buried there in 171 5. William Hotchkis, gent., also presented to Wheathill in 1684-5.
