John Wannerton

John was born about 1510 in Worfield, Shropshire, England, the son of John Wannerton but his mother is unknown.

His wife was Alicia Barker. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Jane (1540-1606).

William Hotchkiss of Hawkeswood [before 1600] married Jane, daughter of John Northwood of Northwood, and had a son Richard Hotchkiss of Hawkeswood, who died about 1645.

HOTCHKIS, OF HOXWOOD. The pedigree of this family was entered at the Heralds’ Visitation of Shropshire in 1663, as follows :—

I. William Hotchkis, of Hoxwood in the County of Salop, descended in directline from Hotchkis of Hoxwood to whom these Arms were given by Richard III. He married Jane daughter and sole heir of John Northwood of Northwood in Shropshire, and had issue a son.
