“In the inquisition after the death of
Robert Hesketh in 1620 the ‘manor of
Tarleton-with-Sollom,’ with messuages,
lands and rents, is erroneously stated to
have been held by him ‘of the Earl of
Derby as of the dissolved monastery of
St. John of Jerusalem’ in socage. A
son Robert, by his father’s grant, was in <<<< The Robert that died 1620 had a grandson Robert born about 1577, son of John born about 1557.
