Grant: of an easement: Henry of Clayton to Sir William of Hesketh :-- right to dam the water of Hyndeburne on the land of H. of C. in Clayton in a place called the Oldemonrydings, together with a newly constructed pool there, and whatever is necessary for its repair from the quarry of H. of C.; leading the water to Sir W's mill of his manor of Markedholme. Sir W. rendering 12d yearly from his said manor and from his land in Great Harrwode. H. of C. to be "hopperfree" of the said mill, with right to grind his grain without multure after Sir W's has been ground --: Witn: Roger of Faryngton, Thomas of Syngleton, John of Alvetham, John of Schutlesworth, Richard Nowel, Adam of Aspedene, Richard of Risshton.
