Indented agreement between [1] and [2]-[3], concerning disagreements and claims of William, son and heir of Richard Prey de Newelond, who holds [le qel il tient] the lands in Newelond of [1] in knight's service or in socage, of which he has an estate [?] for term of his life by grant of Thomas Peuerell [qil ad estaet a terme de sa vie del graunt Thomas Peuerell]; as follows: [2]-[3] shall cause William to marry Joan, second daughter of John Haukyn, before next Purification [= 2nd Feb 1410], and [1] shall allow to be tried [suffra trier] in court, as the common law requires, which of the lands of Newelond are held in knight's service or in socage. If these agreements are kept, then a bond of £40 made by [2]-[3] shall be null and void; otherwise it shall stand in its strength.
