Biography
Mabel was born in 1874. She was the daughter of Samuel Turner and Alice Radcliffe.
She was Christened on 13 August 1874 at Poona, Bombay, India[1].
UK Census Date 1891: Recorded in the household of her uncle William Radcliffe, along with her mother, uncles and aunts, a visitor and 7 servants, in Kingscote, East Grinstead, Sussex, England. Aged 16 and a Scholar.
Mabel married Eugene Bayliss, M.A. of Bradfield College on 5 August 1908 at St. Swithin's Church in East Grinstead, Sussex, England[2].
Unlikely they had children.
In 1911 she and her husband were living at The Old House, School Lane, Southend, Reading, Berkshire. She was aged 36.
Mabel and Eugene spent some time in the United States. in 1930 they were recorded at Santa Barbara, California.
She returned to England with her husband. He passed away in 1938.
Mabel passed away in 1947 at the age of about 74[3]. Her will was proved on 11 December 1947 at London to Archibald Louis Hugh Carter, solicitor and Mabel Vera Read, spinster. Effects: £11930 11s. 1d.
