Jane Baskerville, said to be the daughter of Philip Baskerville of Sherborne, Dorset, married William Peverell of Bradford Peverell. She then married as his first wife John Marvyn / Mervyn of Fonthill Gifford, Wiltshire. She was married to John Mervyn by 1529 and had 5 sons and 8 daughters. In his will of 1566 Sir John Marvyn asked to be buried in the church at Fonthill, near his first wife.[9][10][11][12][13]

She has also been recorded as Jane Baskerville, daughter of 'Sir' Philip Baskerville of 'Eresley', Herefordshire, first wife of Sir John Marvyne of Fountayne.[14]
