Her grandfather, John Pryse wedded, secondly, Bridget, daughter of James Pryse of Mynachdy, and had by her a son, Sir James, d. 1642, who m. Elizabeth, dau. to Humphrey Wynn Esq.
The only issue* and heiress of James and Elizabeth was Bridget, who m. Robert Corbet Esq., 2nd son of Vincent Corbet, Bart of Moreton-Corbet.
*The Corbet pedigree shows her as "co-heir", but Burke states that when James died in 1642, he left Elizabeth and an "only dau. and heiress".
He was a high sheriff of Merioneth in 1606 and to whom Rhisiart Phylip, Siôn Phylip, and Siôn Cain wrote poems.[2]
