Her year of birth is unknown and is estimated as c 1485.

"In 1403 Margaret and her second husband Thomas Beaupyne settled Bawdrip [in Somerset] on their daughter Margaret, wife of William Wroughton".[4][5]

DORSET. Inquisition. Wareham. 15 March. He held the manor of Sturminster Marshall called ‘Beauchampsmanere’ in his demesne as of fee and granted it to Philip Wodeman and William Basket for their lives by a rent of 12 marks, and he granted the rent with the reversion of the manor to Thomas Harewell, Robert Orchard and William Pynche, and the heirs and assigns of Thomas Harewell. Afterwards by a fine of 1403 [CP 25 51/53, no. 16] between Harewell, Orchard and Pynche, and Henry Darleston, clerk, Thomas Colston, and Thomas Beaupyne and Margaret his wife, the reversion after the deaths of Philip Wodeman and William Basket was granted to Thomas Beaupyne and Margaret for their lives, with successive remainders to William Venour and Elizabeth his wife and the heirs of their bodies, the heirs of Thomas Beaupyne and Margaret, the heirs of Margaret, and the right heirs of William Venour.

Thomas died holding the rent and reversion jointly with Margaret. The manor is held of the King in chief by knight service, annual value nil beyond the rent.

Margery wife of John Harewell, Elizabeth wife of William Venour, Margaret wife of William Worfton, and Agnes wife of John Bluet, his daughters and heirs, are aged 30, 26, 24, and 19 years and more.

He also held lands in Bristol and Somerset. He died on 11 Nov. last.

He held the manor and advowson of Didmarton, Gloucestershire, jointly with 'Alice' his wife, who survives him. Didmarton had been granted to William and 'Margaret' his wife.

He held the manor of Alwington in Devon.

In Somerset: By a fine of 1403 [CP 25/201/33, no.28] Thomas Harewell, Robert Orchard and William Pynche conveyed the manor of Bawdrip with the advowson and 1 messuage, 1 carucate and 4 a. meadow in Chilton Trinity to Thomas Beaupeny and Margaret his wife, with successive remainders to William Wrofton, Margaret his wife and the heirs of their bodies, the heirs of the body of Margaret, the heirs of the bodies of Thomas and Margaret Beaupeny, the heirs of Margaret Beaupeny, and the right heirs of William Wrofton. Thomas Beaupeny died. Margaret his widow by an indenture dated at Bawdrip on 12 Dec. 1406 granted all her estate in the premises to William Wrofton and Margaret. By virtue of this they were seised of Bawdrip, Washford, Idson and Chilton Trinity.

In Wiltshire he held the manor and advowson of Beversbrook, the manor of Medbourne, the manor of Woodhill by Wootton Bassett, and other lands.

He died on 4 Nov. last. John his son and heir is aged 7 years and more.

SOMERSET. Inquisition. Bridgwater. 2 Sept. She held for life: North Petherton, the manor and hundred, with remainder to Agnes wife of John Bevyle and her heirs by John Bluet, her former husband; the manor and advowson of Knowle, and the reversion of the manor of Morton. She also had an interest in lands in Dorset.

She died on 26 July. Margery widow of John Harewill, Elizabeth, Margaret widow of William Wroughton, and Agnes are her daughters and heirs, aged 34, 30, 24 and 23 years.

Inquisition Post Mortem of Margaret, wife of John Blaket, Knight, 1420. She died on 8 Aug. last. Margaret married John Blaket , who survives, and they had a son Edmund. John Worston, son of Margaret and William Worston, formerly her husband, is her son and next heir, aged 19 years and more.[9][10]

In Somerset she held the manor and advowson of Bawdrip and lands in Chilton Polden / Chilton Trinity, Washford and Edyston. She held for life the manor of Didmarton, Gloucestershire. She held no lands in Wiltshire.

Research Notes

Apparently incorrect information for Margaret, wife of William Wrofton/Wroughton and Sir John Blaket:

Royce[11] stated that Sir John Blaket's second wife was Margaret, daughter of Sir John Eynsford, widow of William Wroughton.

Margaret, daughter of Sir John Eynesford , married Sir John Blackett of Icomb, Gloucestershire, and had a daughter, Anne.[12]
