Samuel was born on 23 JAN 1652 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph Parsons and Mary Bliss.

He died on 12 NOV 1734 in Durham, Middlesex, CT.

He had three marriages/partners. His first wife was Elizabeth Cooke, who he married in ABT 1677 in Northampton, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts. Their three known children were Samuel (1678-1683), Samuel (1680-1724) and Elizabeth (1684-?).

His second wife was Rhoda Taylor, who he married in 1691. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Jemima (1691-1757), Rhoda (1694-1767), Timothy (1695-1772), Hannah (1699-1760), Simeon (1701-1781), Phineas (1704-1724) and Ithimar (1707-1786).

His third wife was Mary Wheeler, who he married on 15 DEC 1711 in Durham, Middlesex, CT. Their two known children were Aaron (1711-1791) and John (1713-1760).
